REFLECTION
The feast today is about the mystery of God and the mission of Jesus and the working of the Holy Spirit.
We may not be at home in the world of mystery. It’s as if it’s to be understood. Can you understand love? Faith? So much is unspeakable. Mystery is more a hand to be held than a problem to be solved!
NEVER A FULL ANSWER
We can’t tie God down. Never a full answer to who is God, why suffer, even who am I? We can live in and enjoy the mystery, like we can enjoy the mystery of those we love. If we watch a lovely moon-rise or sunset – what do we really know about it all? That is the world of the heart.
The Trinity is not all in the sky! –they look into the world…the heartache, the violence, the depressions, the weaknesses and knew we needed help, so one of them came among us, as one of us. God has skin, and humanity. To point the right direction in life and let us know that the mystery of God is all love and to save us.
Take time today to enjoy love, creation, a cure of ill-health. The miracle of life is the gift of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Holy Trinity, overshadow me with the love of creation, of being saved and of being always in your presence.
